Our Little Man

Aiden Hunter Colquitt arrived on January 5th at 2:53 pm. After two hours of pushing he was finally delivered via cesarean section. He weighed in at a whopping 8lb. 6 oz. and was 21 1/4 in. Much to our surprise he was a big boy. A few hours after he was born they admitted him to the NICU where he stayed for the next 10 days. He had a condition called "wet lungs" which is very common with babies born by c section. It was very traumatic for both mom and dad to have our baby boy taken away from us and to come home without him. We were finally able to bring Aiden home on January 13th. Since then we have been adjusting to our new life and have truly enjoyed every minute. He is a great baby and we feel so blessed to have him home and healthy.

We want to thank everyone for the countless prayers, visits, calls, and emails we have received. We are reminded often how lucky we are to have such great friends and family.

  1. He is precious! I can't believe the hair. There is so much. You have no idea how much I hate not being there to meet him and see him in the hospital. We love you guys and think of you all the time.

  3. Now that's a GREAT lookin' kid! I will take credit for some of the gene pool that made such handsome looks possible - but most of it comes from you two (but mostly Amy). Seriously - we couldn't be happier for the both of you and we know that you'll be great parents. Enjoy every minute with Aiden because you'll be amazed at how fast he'll grow up. We can't wait to see all three of you in just three days from now! In the meantime - we love you!
